DIAMOND COMB

& DIAMOND

NECKLACE

Cameo Habille Flapper with Diamond Comb and Necklace (signed 14K) Item VC6934 Isn't this a remarkable piece? The idealized women that are represented in Cameo Habilles are most often Grecian figures from mythological tales, but this unbelievable Art Deco cameo features a fabulous Flapper in full regalia. Bobbed hair was in and foreheads were out as you can see with obvious clarity in this impressive relief carving. Our glamorous Flapper girl wears a diamond in her hair and a a great big diamond in her necklace (1/10 of a carat). Flappers were notoriously scandalous and wild women who loved sex and sexiness with youthful vigor. What a vamp our innocent looking seductress must have been to get these swanky jewels. Including the frame, this 2" long by 1" wide carved shell cameo sits within a girdle of 2 twisted 14K gold strands. The lower strand is wide and the overlying strand is narrower. The vivacious vixen sits in relief with both arms fully bared and a wonderful draping low cut gown. If it weren't for these daring ladies, who knows where we women would be today? They broke barriers and demanded their rights to sexual freedom. Show your appreciation for these ladies who defined the word 'sex appeal' and own an incredibly rare Art Deco cameo of impeccable beauty. Excellent condition. Price $999.00

Antique Wired Floral Bangle and Earrings Set (not signed) Item VBBR8743 Funk is fine, glitz is groovy, understated is...well, understated. But sometimes you need an 'Upstairs Downstairs' kind of thing going on with your jewels, and at the moment, we're Upstairs. In the drawing room, to be exact, sipping sherry and explaining to mummy and daddy why women ought to be allowed to vote, drive motor cars, and smoke cigarettes. Your astonishingly divine celluloid floral bracelet and earring set is so right for your perky but elegant personality. The opaque pastel celluloid flowres coupled with the delightful metal vines that wrap around the edges are at once classic and rather cheeky. This is a type of elegance that doesn't take itself too seriously; there's a subtle playfulness about it that is charming, beautiful, and utterly feminine. Circa 1920s, Sassy believes it is most likely Czechoslovakian. The flowers are cornflower blue, lemon yellow, orange, baby blue, mint green, pink, and lavender.  And it is a showy, dramatic 2 and 3/4" across and 1 and 3/8" wide! No chips or cracks. And the sides have little flowers too. Everything is wired onto the base beautifully! Earrings are screwbacks and are original to the set. They are a little over 3/4" in diameter and have a red flower right in the center of them just to add a little pizzazz. Excellent condition. Price $297.00 SOLD

WATCH

ART DECO Amethysts, Diamonds, and Pink Gold Watch (signed Touchon Watch Co., 14K gold, 17 Jewels, adjusted to temperature, Swiss) Item DTW6051 My Dear Bunny, May I send you my congratulations on this your birthday? I am also sending a little token of my best wishes for you, not only for today, but for many years to come. Affectionately Yours, Hunter Farleigh.

Dear Mr. Farleigh, I thank you for the watch. I know the Dowager Duchess will be impressed when I wear it to dinner tonight. A gift such as this certainly conveys the sincerity of your affection. The jewels embellishing this lovely timepiece are a marvel! Branson, I counted the diamonds and there are 18 of them, that's as many months as I've known you, my dear amour! (2/3 carats of diamonds). Truesdale tells me that 17 jewels are keeping the mechanism in perfect time and it is even adjusted for temperature. So when we meet at the gate house after dinner, the frost won't disrupt the watch's time keeping ability and it will even keep time at our hide-away even though it usually gets fairly hot. The face is beautiful and the Amethysts (5 carats) are outstandingly passionate, huge, gorgeous and sparkling! And that 14K pink gold snake band is wonderful. You seem to know what to do at all the right times, you sly bounder. It fits my 6 and 7/8" wrist and the (original) face is so easy to read I shall cherish this token and look forward to seeing you at Mr. March's upcoming dinner party. Your little Bunny.

Sassy's staff cleaned, oiled and adjusted the watch. Write your own steamy romance in this incredibly rare, drop dead gorgeous, art deco bejeweled pink gold watch. An affair with beauty you'll enjoy for many exciting rendezvous. Excellent condition. Price $3600.00

TORTOISE PIQUE'

SNAKE BRACELET

Stunning Mid Victorian Tortoise Pique' Snake (not signed) Item VSFBRF8713 Its moves are graceful. Its eyes seem to look directly into your soul and when i t strikes EVERYONE will say their heart skipped a beat. Don't you wish you could have that kind of affect on people? Well this Stunning Victorian Tortoise Pique' Snake will give you the power to mesmerize without the slightest bit of effort other than slipping it on your little wrist (It does require a small hand and small wrist). Carved from genuine tortoise shell, this very thick and luxurious bracelet is created with the Very very rare Tortoise Pique' technique. Using this method, sterling metalwork is inlaid within the shell itself to create elaborate designs. Tortoise pique was popular in the 17th century and then again in the mid to late 1800s. Sassy believes this bracelet is from the mid 1800s. This unique serpent has an extraordinary amount of Pique' work and the detail is inspired. One small sterling triangle is missing off the front. There is a tiny chip on the end of the snake tail and at one time in its history, the tail was broken off. Sassy had it professionally glued back on. None of this shows from the front of course...only on the inside of the tail of the bracelet. The tail is coiled under the top so it does not show. from the outside. The bracelet is small and fits a 6" wrist and is not flexible at all so make sure you have a small hand to slip through it before hitting that buy now button unless you just want it for your collection. A cluster of opaque turquoise glass bead berries with gold cups dangle from tiny seed bead stems. Smaller turquoise beads and faux pearls form rings above the berry cluster as two gold grape leaves add flourish just behind. This brooch has a somewhat Greco-Roman feel and measures a little over 3 and 1/4" long and 1 and 3/4" wide. This magnificent Miriam brooch is so eye-catching with brilliant color and golden sparkle. You can't help but shine while wearing it. Guaranteed to be a Haskell. Excellent condition. Price $267.00

Victorian Revival Paste Fan Dress Clip (not signed) Item VF7531 In the Victorian Era, no woman of merit would dare step out without a fan in hand and ample airs. Victorian Jewelry - Art Deco Flapper Cameo signed 14k

ART DECO 14K

FLAPPER CAMEO

1930s

Art Deco Flapper Fashion Queen Cameo (signed 14K) Item VC7458 What makes the ideal woman? Classic cameo makers thought Greco-Roman goddesses were worthy women. I, on the other hand, think that those fabulous Flappers were the bee's knees and you will too once you take a gander at this glamour-filled circa 1930s Art Deco Flapper Cameo. An eager Flapper fashion queen wearing a wide brimmed hat and a risqué off the shoulder dress with two flower corsages is the focus of this exceptional piece, that represents fashion freedom! Carved in relief, she is a stunner! An ornate 14K gold frame surrounds our fashion conscious Flapper who is ever looking toward the next chance to get out and dance. It sits in a beautiful openwork frame... that is, there is an opening all the way around the cameo (which looks like dark enameling in my photo). This stunning cameo has a flip up bale so it can be worn as a pendant or a cameo. It measures 1 and 1/2" long by 1 and 3/16" wide. Pay tribute to the women that helped make stupendous style what it is today with a unique early cameo which was made back then for the now Sassiest of Sassy cameo collectors! Excellent condition.
